The name MCC COGNET is associated with one of the most famous knives in France, the DOUK-DOUK.

The idea for the DOUK-DOUK came from Gaston Cognet in 1928. His idea was to create an efficient knife with a simple construction that could be easily and cheaply procured again if it was lost or broken. it should be versatile and efficient for every day activities at the same time, including the work in the fields and in the gardens.

Even today, Pierre Cognet and his family manufacture the famous knife in the atelier of his ancestors and even use their old machines and tools.
