In 1922 GENES DAVID founded his atelier in Thiers. The crossbow (arbalète) is the coat of arms of the cutlery. The forge developed into one of the leading manufacturers of LAGUIOLE knives in the 20th century and became one of the main suppliers of LAGUIOLE knives for the cutlers in Laguiole, who bought their fittings from their colleagues from Thiernois from the end of the 19th century, and later the completely manufactured knives that had been made to their respective Laguiole brand.
PassionFrance developed a number of interesting, traditional LAGUIOLES together with Arbalète. See below.
In the meantime, the company with forge and ateliers and their trademark rights had been sold to a one of the main knife producers in Laguiole.
