The SOMMELIER was created as a modern LAGUIOLE for wine lovers and connoisseurs because traditional LAGUIOLE knives have a small corkscrew only. Now it is a tool of professional sommeliers as well for private lovers of good wines and for all an object of particular beauty : it has a longer and larger corkscrew, a support to facilitate opening the bottle and a blade specialized in capsule cutting. It received the design+ award in 1996 for its form and function.
