GILLES REYNEWATER, owner of the cutlery THIERS-ISSARD is considered a veteran among the Thiernois knife makers. The cutlery was run by the THIERS family for 4 generations. When the daughter of another well-known knife maker family married in 1884, the brand name THIERS was expanded to include her wife ISSARD. Gilles Reynewater acquired the forge in 1985. In addition to the manufacture of chef's knives and pocket knives, he has specialized in the manufacture of straight razors, which are made in his own forge and are now sold worldwide.
