The CORSE-YATAGAN, or U MONTAGNOLU in Corsica, has a Yatagan blade that merges into a slim, gently curved handle that makes the pocketknife fit perfectly in the hand. The handles are preferably made from regional woods, such as those found on the "île de beauté". First and foremost "châtaigner", the wood of the chestnuts, which has been grown for centuries and whose fruits are inextricably linked to the island's culinary culture, as well as the wood of "chêne-vert", an evergreen oak with dense wood and a typical grain and natural made of olive wood, the tree that is said to have the strength of eternal youth in the Mediterranean.
CORSE-YATAGAN are manufactured on the basis of classic fourniture. For PassionFrance®, the coutellerie PARAPLUIE made two models with handles of thuja root and holy oak. As a sign of their authenticity, they present the Parapluie and PassionFrance® logo on the blades.
AU SABOT produces a simple, traditional model with handles made of chestnut wood.
