The AGENAIS is one of the typical knives of the South of France. Strong and yet cool and elegant. White bone always was the most treasured handle material for regional knives, as it was able to substitute the precious ivory. In the past, it was available everywhere. Today, in times of mass animal husbandry with rapid raising, it is becoming an increasingly rare and precious raw material because it lost its stability, has become grey and porous and therefore often needs to be tinted. We have discovered a source from which we can purchase top quality white cattle bone, which allows us to produce knife handles in the finest manner.We manufacture it with a wide Yatagan blade whose contact with the spring is suppressed, raised rivets and elaborate details.
