The Laguiole of 1900 is an elegant pocket knife of purist beauty. It was created about 30 years after the LAGUIOLE-DROIT probably in the atelier of Pierre-Jean Calmels. With curved handle and Yatagan blade, it represents the "modern" LAGUIOLE as we know it today. In its details it is even cooler than today’s Laguioles with often many decorations. It has the elegant handle without bolsters, on the ressort there are only a few spontaneous file strokes as decoration and above all the mouche is significant. It had just changed from the oval shape into a trapezoid and lets us guess that it will develop into a fly or bee.
We have reconstructed this model with great respect for the surviving specimens in museums and private collections. The atelier ARTO manufactures it for us with some constructive-technical improvements, which seem important to us for today's use, among other things with poncetage supressing the contact of the blade ith the spring. As a sign of their authenticity, they present on the blade the coat of arms of the cutlery ART ... mehr about the LAGUIOLE-1900
